New York
New York is a sprawling neighbor state to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and Canada. From the St. Lawrence river to the Riverbank Park of New York City, there is so much to explore in the expansive state of New York. My conundrum then was… how do I categorize a gallery dedicated to it? Luckily, I have only cracked the surface of parks in New York so there isn’t much yet to categorize. Yet still, over time this may be one of the largest galleries for any state that I have visited.
This page is to give you a taste of what New York has to offer in all seasons. Readers who are interested in seeing just the NY section of the Appalachian Trail are recommended to visit my AT gallery for state-by-state photos. Additionally, some New York State Parks are local to me, and therefore have their own pages. These parks are: Cascade Lake Park, Harriman State Park (coming soon), Schunnemunk Mountain State Park (coming soon) and Sterling Forest (coming soon). I have included my walk across the George Washington Bridge in this section as well, despite the fact that half of it resides in New Jersey.
